Aundjala Suhatskaya, professionally known as Anjie Skaya, is a classically trained violinist, educator, and multidisciplinary performer whose career spans continents, genres, and generations.

Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Aundjala was accepted at age seven into the prestigious Republican Specialized Music School named after R. M. Glier, where she studied violin under the renowned Leopold Auer method—an approach that shaped virtuosos such as Jascha Heifetz and Nathan Milstein. By age nine, she gave her first public performance with the school orchestra, launching a trajectory marked by accolades, media appearances, and leadership roles. She later served as assistant to conductor A.D. Davidov and led the elite ensemble “Unison of 12 Violinists.”

Following graduation, Aundjala continued her studies privately with Professor A.D. Zelenodjevo of the Tashkent Conservatory of Music. At 17, she became the youngest member of the orchestra at the Alisher Navoi Theater of Opera and Ballet, where she performed until immigrating to the United States in 1993.

From 1993 to 2013, Aundjala lived in New York City, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College and teaching violin privately. In 2013, she relocated to Florida and reignited her performing career, quickly becoming a sought-after collaborator across South Florida’s classical and contemporary music scenes.
